Job Description:
Full-time Permanent Clerk I position, assisting the Department of Public Works, under the supervision of the Superintendent. As the primary point of contact for the Department of Public Works, the candidate must be an excellent communicator and can deal with the public in a courteous and professional manner while handling several tasks simultaneously. Must have excellent organizational and follow-through skills, computer skills and ability to learn new programs. Duties will include but are not limited to processing requisitions, organizing bulk, heavy metal and electronics collection schedules, communicating with residents and routing resident calls and requests to the proper personnel through a centralized computer program, and general office duties as needed. Responsible for maintaining a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Edmunds, and excellent typing skills required. Three to five years municipal experience preferred.
Excellent benefits, starting salary $50,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
