Property Taxes and Water bills are due four times a year – February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1.  The Borough offers taxpayers a 10-day grace period; after that, interest is assessed back to the first day of the due date.

Tax and/or Water installments not paid by the due date are subject to 8% interest on the first $1,500.00 of the delinquency and 18% on any amount in excess of $1,500.00.  Also, any delinquency exceeding $10,000.00 at the end of the collection year will be assessed a 6% penalty.  Delinquent taxes and/or water unpaid for the prior year(s) are included in the annual tax sale in accordance with New Jersey statutes.

Tax and Water payments can be mailed to Waldwick Borough Hall, PO Box 65, Waldwick, NJ 07463 or placed in the drop box located at the corner of the Administration building near the pedestrian walkway. Taxes and/or Water may also be paid online, www.waldwicknj.org home page under Online Payments. Cash payments may be made by appointment only, in exact change. Please contact the Tax Office directly at (201) 652-5300 x239 to arrange an appointment.

Online Checking:   If you use your own banks online bill pay system, please make sure that you have your account number or block and lot number in the memo section. Allow for extra time when making this payment for your check is mailed to us by your bank. It is not directly deposited into our account.

Checks:  To avoid having your check returned due to errors and causing a delay that may cause interest charged for late payments, follow these instructions:

    Make checks payable to Borough of Waldwick
    Make sure that the written amount matches the numerical amount
    Make sure that the check is signed
    Place block and lot numbers or the account number in the memo section of the check


ACH Withdrawal Program: The Borough of Waldwick is now accepting tax and/or water payments via automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. This service assures your payment will be received in a timely manner.  There is no fee for this service.
