Recycling Collection

Recycling Collection is done every Wednesday alternating between Cardboard & Mixed Paper (newspapers, magazines, books, mail and junk mail) and Commingled Collection one week and (plastics #1, #2, & #5, glass jars/bottles and aluminum & tin cans) the next. Recycling must be at the curb by 6:00 am on collection day.

Recyclables must be loose in cans - no plastic bags.

Recycling Center
Waldwick also owns and operates our own Recycling Center located at 19 Industrial Park. Please note, only recyclables are accepted at the Center. Garbage and bulk items are not accepted.

The Recycling Center accepts:

  • Cardboard & Mixed Paper (newspapers, magazines, books, mail, and shredded paper)
  • Commingled Containers (plastics #1, #2, & #5, glass jars/bottles and aluminum & tin cans)
  • Metal & Appliances
  • Electronics
  • Yard Waste

Recycling Center Hours:

Monday  - Friday 

7:30 am - 3:00 pm

Saturdays  

9:00 am - 1:00 pm


Recycle Coach

Recycle Coach is a resource for residents to find out more about recycling. You can find out your garbage and recycling schedules and find information about how to dispose of various items. Recycle Coach is available at www.waldwicknj.gov/recyclecoach. You can also download the app to keep up to date on schedule changes and receive reminders about your garbage and recycling collections.

Visit the Clerk’s office to pickup yard waste and recycling stickers for your cans/containers. Avoid missed pickups!
